Where a handicap was an estimate a runner only qualifies for one point but
their handicap for next month will be based on this time and qualify for a full
score. A season’s pb earns two bonus points. Please check your statistics
on both tables and notify me of any errors.
That "there's nowt so queer as folk"
was well demonstrated by an above average turnout on a very wet night. Thanks
to everyone for putting on a show with some very close battles to the finish
line. Julia has been credited with the twenty seconds I owed her after missing
her start time and this moves her up a few places. Congratulations to Ken in
first place and all those who recorded season's p.b.s despite the weather. It
was good to see Graham regaining much of his previous form with the fastest
run and to have Lesley jumping in at the deep end after a few months absence
for various reasons, mostly called holidays.
Special thanks are due to my very efficient young assistant Leila who bravely
did her job through the downpour without protest. I couldn't have managed without
her. Thanks also to Nigel for arranging the food.
