NOW IN IT'S EIGHTH YEAR:  we're working to make our race better every year.
2007
The Gazette of Monday 22nd. carried a story and photos of the race "The men's and women's records both tumbled ............... brought triple success for both winners , who added course records and county gold medals to their victories" wrote Race Director Bill Lock.

Generous cash prizes and sports clothing donated by The Runners Centre were awarded plus medals for the Lancashire Champions.  
Alan Seddon presented the prizes and Brian Porter the Lancashire medals, Bill Lock made the announcements.

THE RACE HAD 324 ENTRIES AND 274 FINISHERS AND INCORPORATED THE LANCASHIRE 5 MILE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The weather was unseasonably warm and sunny. Every finisher and all marshals received a souvenir tee-shirt printed with the distinctive design.

Our race is fast, flat and on a largely traffic-free rural course. The weather was beautiful
