Winter Handicap
The Winter Handicap is a competition for Club Members which creates a level playing field for runners to compete over the cross country season.
This year (2011-2012) a new system will be used for the Winter Handicap. A runner's handicap compares their time to the winning LSARRC runner. Race times are then adjusted according to their handicap and points are awarded from 15 down to 1. If more than 15 runners compete in a fixture, 1 point will be awarded for competing. Handicaps will be based on last season's performance. Any runner competing for the first time will be awarded 5 points with their time used to calculate a handicap for the next fixture. Handicaps will be adjusted during the season where necessary.
The latest Winter Handicap scores are available here and will be updated throughout the season.
4 out of the 6 Mid Lancs League races will count towards the handicap. Fixtures below.
