| LSARRC has held an awards ceremony every year in the spring. Club President Michael Jack MP has presented the prizes at most of the Award Ceremonies except for 2007 - 2008 when Alan Seddon, Lancashire AA President, did the presentations. In May 2010 Michael Jack retired as President after twelve years on his emigration to Italy and the Club's founder Bryan Grundy agreed to be the new President. The prize-giving is followed by a buffet and disco. Founder members, Bryan and Joyce Grundy, organized the the events up to their departure in 2005 for around 50 members and their relatives and friends. Since 2005 members of the Committee have been the organizers. All have been successful and enjoyable occasions. In 2008 the Awards Ceremony was combined with the Club's 10th Birthday Party. |
