AGM Notes - 8:00pm Tuesday 15th June 2010
This year's Annual General Meeting saw twenty-six members of our eighty-strong club attending; well in advance of the constitutional quorum of two out of three officials and ten members, but, perhaps a little disappointingly short of a good percentage of the membership.
Conducted in an impressively constrained and ordered manner it nevertheless drew passion from the supporters of the three tabled resolutions.
The notes below are - just that - notes and in no way constitute minutes but may provide an adequate aide-memoire for those present and a guide for the absent.
Reports were presented by the 2009 -10 Chairman Tony Croft, who thanked the many club members both in and outside of the Committee and presented the two coaches, Terry Hellings and David Rigby, with bottles of wine in appreciation of their contribution, the Secretary Roy Stevens, who reported on the good attendance at the year's twelve committee meetings and the Treasurer Nigel Thompson, who outlined the expenditure and indicated a end-of-year balance of over £7,000. He also mentioned the help provided by Peter Cooke in auditing the accounts. Tony Croft also reported on the progress of the Junior Section. All the reports were adopted.
